Having grown from humble beginnings to being the biggest African music festival in the UK, and one of the biggest in Europeand its still growing. Africa Oye takes place every June in the picturesque surroundings of Sefton Park.

It's line up features artists from nations right across Africa, and also from South America and The Caribbean.

The Park is transformed into an Oye village, you can try traditional food and buy fairtrade goods whilst having your hair braided, watch a fashion shows, try henna art, healing and remedial massage, and make themost of listening to some of the best up-and-coming African artists around.

There are over 60 stalls selling the food, drink, arts and crafts, and fashion from Africa and beyond.

It has something for all the family...
