The Alabama Renaissance Faire is a Renaissance fair held annually in downtown Florence, Alabama, in Wilson Park.
The Fair which draws about 40,000 visitors each year, features Renaissance food, costumes, and music to take visitors back in time with a focus on fun as much as education.
The rest of the weekend is packed with everything from sword fighting, dancing, singing, poetry, basket weaving, jugglers, jesters and magicians. Vendors, demonstrators, and performers will be situated throughout the park for the entire event.
This event gives visitors an experience that is unique and very much worth a visit.
