What is Balloon Week Gosau?
Take a trip to Gosau in Austria during its annual Balloon Week and look up at the sky as around 40 hot air balloons of various colors take to the skies to put on a spectacular display. Set against a background of snow-covered forests and breathtaking mountain landscapes, this is a hot air balloon festival not to be missed. Teams also compete for the annual International Alpine Trophy day.
Visitors can take a hot air balloon trip starting in the Gosau district Mittertal and get a bird's eye view of the Dachstein Salzkammergut region and the nearby mountains.
