The Cheung Chau Bun Festival is an annual Taoist celebration of Buddhas birthday held in Hong Kong.

It attracts thousands of revelers each year from around the world to partake in its various festivities.

Da jiu are baked bun delicacies used to create mountains for attendees to climb and snag themselves a bun to eat.

Celebrators can also enjoy an outstanding array of vegetarian cuisine, a colorful parade of floats and dancers and of course, the annual bun-snatching and paper effigy burning ceremony.
