What is the Chinchilla Melon Festival?

Chinchilla Australia, located westward from Brisbane, earns its title as "Melon Capital" by producing a quarter of the watermelons in Australia. So it's no surprise the town holds a biennial Melon Festival.

Check out fun events such as melon skiing, melon iron man, melon bungee, melon bullseye, and melon tossing.

There is also entertainment available for the whole family, such as markets, a street parade, arts and crafts, a poets' breakfast, luncheons, and free concerts.
