What is the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival?
The Clifford Brown Jazz Festival is a hugely popular multi-day outdoor marathon of jazz music that takes place at Rodney Square in Wilmington, Delaware every summer. This special festival is held in tribute to the late, great Wilmington native Clifford Brown.
Presented by the City of Wilmington and Cityfest, the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival is the largest free jazz festival on the east coast.
The festival features an outstanding line up of performers on its main stage, and you will also find plenty of vendors selling food, wine and craft beers to enjoy while watching the shows.
Need to know
The Rodney Square main stage viewing area is uncovered and includes a large general seating area on both the grass and stairs of Rodney Square. Visitors may bring blankets or low-backed lawn chairs but no tents are allowed in lawn seating areas.
