The Dublin Marathon is an annual 26.2-mile road race in Ireland's capital city. It is held on the last Sunday in October.

Need to know

To get a place to run the Dublin Marathon you will need to enter the lottery which usually opens about a year in advance of the race. This is a very popular race and spots are limited so it may take several goes before getting a place through the lottery system. Alternatively many charities offer places for those who can fundraise the required targets.
