What are the European Figure Skating Championships?
The European Figure Skating Championships take place every January and is one of the most highly anticipated events in the winter sports calendar.
Every year, hundreds of European figure skaters come together to battle it out on the ice to compete for the prestigious title of European champion.
The competition takes place over a week, where spectators have the unique opportunity to see performances and incredible choreography from the brightest stars in figure skating today. There are eight competitions in total including Single Skating, Pair Skating and Ice Dance.
The end of the week culminates in a magnificent Gala Show that is not to be missed.

Ice skaters choose the music for their programs and the choreography is built around it. Traditionally only instrumental music was allowed, but since the 2014-2015 season vocal music can also be used.
