The Chamame National Festival or Festival Nacional del Chamame is a 10-day long festival in Argentina’s Corrientes City.
This festival, said to be one of the longest summer festivals in South America, showcases the chamame, a celebrated Argentinian music and dance genre.
Often performed during family gatherings, religious events and regional festivities, it has become a cultural expression, promoting the way of living and love for the land of the people from the Corrientes region.
