Need to know
Don't miss the Kodiak Crab Festival Grand Parade, it's a wonderful highlight of the event!
Did you know?
The festival began in 1958 to market King Crab which at the time was not a well-known or popular food. As the King Crab industry declined and other crab fisheries grew in Kodiak, the 'King' was dropped from the name and the festival became the 'Kodiak Crab Festival'.
