The Lake Turkana Cultural Festival is quite unlike other African celebrations as rather than focusing on just one unique set of tribal traditions, it brings together around 14 communities to celebrate their similarities and differences as one.
Locals and visitors alike celebrate their way of life with plenty of traditional dress and dancing involved!
These communities are mainly nomadic so the festival is a chance for them to come together to share and showcase their traditional foods, their way of living and their customs.
