What is the Fire & Ice Winterfest
Locals and visitors have the time of their lives in a one-of-a-kind winter celebration at the Fire and Ice Winterfest. This is held annually on the first full weekend of February, at the quaint resort town of Lava Hot Springs in Idaho. A couple of hours away from Salt Lake City, this place is known for its natural spring-fed hot pools.

A multitude of activities is planned during the festival weekend, like wine tastings, ice relay races, a water carnival, costume contests, and parties and parades.

Some of the more interesting activities include people running down the main street in their swimsuits and a penguin race!
