Originated in 2006 by Jean-René Palacio, the Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival programs the greatest among which figures the greatest name; Chick Corea, Sonny Rollins, Ron Carter, Marcus Miller, Herbie Hancock, Manu Katché, McCoy Tyner, Diego el Cigala, John McLaughlin, Mike Stern, Biréli Lagrène, Diana Krall, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Gregory Porter, Paolo Conte, Melody Gardot, Al Jarreau, Wayne Shorter and Bobby McFerrin.

During the event, chances are given to beginners with great capabilities to perform on stage. Previous artist have seen great success on the same stage; Avishai Cohen, Raoul Midon, Éric Legnini, Thomas Dutronc, Roy Hargrove, Esperanza Spalding, Kyle Eastwood, Vincent Peirani, Anne Paceo, Hugh Coltman or the Snarky Puppy and trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf, who was revealed at the Festival in 2012 and who gave a glorious concert at Bercy in 2016!

For this fifteenth Festival, which will take place from November 23 to December 4 at the Opera Garnier Monte-Carlo, the program will offer seven dates.

Open to all and to the widest audience, the MCJF will welcome Avishai Cohen, Jamie Cullum, Steve Hackett, Gregory Porter, Chucho Valdés Quartet Feat Yilian Cañizares, Paul Personne and David Hallyday who, through jazz, will prove that this music is more as alive as ever.
