America's butterfly capital is Mission, Texas, and it's home to the annual Butterfly Festival, where thousands of these winged creatures can be observed in their natural habitat.
See some 300 species of butterflies and 90 species of dragonflies at this event, which also features plenty of family-friendly activities including crafts and bouncy houses. Kids can have their faces painted like a butterfly and play games like Pin the Tail on the Swallowtail.
You can also enjoy happy hour and a special dinner at the National Butterfly Center.
