The New York City Poetry Festival is a celebration of the dynamic poetry community in NYC, poets and poetry-lovers from all five boroughs meet on idyllic Governors Island to enjoy readings from over 200 poets, curated by 50+ poetry organizations on three stages over two days.
Booksellers, craft makers, and local food trucks comprise the Vendors Village.
The festival includes a Children's Poetry Festival, complete with writing games and its own fourth stage.
The festival also features an open mic area, poetry-inspired art installations throughout, and beer garden sponsored by Brooklyn Brewery.
